Before and after...the life of an Indiblogger

Let me be honest.

I actively began to blog only after I discovered Indiblogger. Up until then, I put up my blog link on Facebook with little or no feedback on my writing. Now for me, the incentive of writing is so that people should read it.I always have something to say and it needs to be heard.

I realised, over a period of time, that people on facebook were not interested in my ramblings and so I had abandoned my blog for the longest time. It was only when I realised that I could actually get feedback on my blog and there are like minded people out there who actually want to read things...did I begin to spend time on my writing.

I have never looked back since. One of my contest posts won me an iPad Mini. Yoo hoo..

And ever since, my writing has only improved.

Honestly, I have to thank Indiblogger and it's team for this wonderful initiative. It is especially inspiring for writers like to know that there is at least someone out there who cares about the stuff we put out on paper...or keyboard, as in this case.

Having given your topic a thought, I think there are three types of people. Type 1: People who are only taught to look not think -          These are the people who are brought up to believe in stereotypes. For e.g. if you wear a saree, you have a behenji mentality…or if you wear a bikini, you are easy and slutty…or if you wear jeans to office, you take your work casually…and so on and so forth. -          They are not taught to think deeply, or look beyond the outer shell of just about anything...people, houses, situations so they take everything at face value. -          More often than not, they are a product of extreme low confidence. Review: Origin

Origin by Dan Brown My rating: 3 of 5 stars 1. Great one time read. It goes on and on towards the end, I thought, but I still wanted to finish it since it was quite enthralling. 2. While reading, I thought that the end will be lame but I was pleasantly surprised. Of all his books, the end of this book brought home a few truths which are staring at us in the face. 3. If you want to read Dan Brown, be equipped with your Wikipedia page open on your computer or mobile phone. There are so many historical facts thrown in and most of his books feature some real places.
