It is a fact that disposable sanitary pads are one of the worst offenders when it comes to littering the planet, though, ironically, they are the most convenient. According to some stats, 26 percent of women and girls are on their period on any given day. Can you imagine the mountains of sanitary pads and tampons which may be clogging our drains and making their way to landfills? A lot of these products have plastic linings which are virtually indestructible in our lifetimes.  But the heartening news is that there are a lot of products being developed which are turning out to be one time purchases and reusables. It is so heartening to know that a lot of girls and women are fast switching to these products.  Menstrual Cups I tried a cup and honestly, I was not very comfortable with it. But ...

    I had it just about enough. Ten days before Diwali and the woman had done it once again. She had abandoned me when I needed her the most. When i was most vulnerable. And it was something that she had done not once, but two Diwalis repeatedly.  My maid, someone who I trusted and had given her every possible leeway. So i decided that I had had enough of her nonsense and did not want her to work at my place any longer.
